I usually only drink coffee at home, because I am piss weak and am too embarrassed to ask for what I like, which is a decaf (my stomach can’t handle full caffeine- watch me spontaneously SPRINT to the toilet) soy flat white. I don’t look and act like one, but I know deep, very deep down I am a hippie, with hippie ideals and ideas about how the world should be. But I don’t want everyone to think of me as some soy drinking, tree hugging, birkenstock wearing vegetarian because that pretty much immediately makes people have less respect for you- they expect you to start preaching to them and trying to convert them- basically, people think your an idiot on acid. Which I am not. So, I don’t get coffee out, unless I know I’m at a place that is cool with that kind of thing. And anyway, decaf is for pussies, and it’s embarrassing admitting that I’m a pussy. Also, I don’t like drinking coffee out because it’s usually not fairtrade (“HIPPIE!”, they scream, “FUCKING HIPPIE!!!”)
I ran out of coffee (it’s the one at the very bottom, awesomely delicious) a week or so ago, a usual staple breakfast item, along with some toast, nuttelex and vegemite.
So this morning I got a little creative and made a smoothie while I waited for my toast to get cold (I LOVE cold toast, I got this sort of weird addiction from my Dad).
I wizzed up half a chopped up banana with about 1/2 cup bluberries, 5 of the smallest ice cubes you’ve ever seen (I don’t know what I was thinking when I put them in the freezer like that!), the juice of an orange and some soy milk. Delish!
And my toast:

(what I like about cold toast is that the nuttelex doesn’t melt, I hate when it melts into the bread cause it makes me feel like I’m just eating dry bread hahaha)
Anyway, this breakfast should keep me full for, oh, around about 20 mins, if I’m lucky.
Today, inspired by LindyLoo’s post ages ago, I am going to make a cat shelter for the most wretched cat alive, which mooches around outside in our carpark, with a bung eye that is afraid of everything.
